I can see this is going to get out of hand!🤭 I simply LOVE the look of the cotton sashiko thread on denim and am now looking for ANYWHERE that I can add it.

I’ve been asked if visible mending can be done with regular 6-strand embroidery floss or perle cotton, and of course it is possible, but when stitching on denim, nothing compares to stitching with real sashiko thread. The cotton thread is smooth and has less twist than other embroidery threads. It is specially made by spinning longer cotton fibres, creating a very strong, smooth thread. I like using perle cotton to add interesting colours and accents, but to highlight the beauty of the sashiko patterns, I think this natural cotton thread is best!
