My mother and I decided to sign up together for the "Just Get It Done Quilts" sewing room de-clutter challenge. My mom, Susan, is an avid quilter creating more quilts in a year than seems humanly possible. Her scrap pile is wonderful to look through and I find myself taking home armfuls of scrap fabrics each time I visit (my work lends itself well to her small bits of material). The 21-day challenge gave daily prompts of what to tackle, with a warning not to skip ahead as this was a recipe for burnout. Throwing caution to the wind, Susan jumped right into her scrap pile leading to this 7AM text.
