Many of my fabric landscapes are inspired by sky fabric, so I like to have a number of painted skies on hand to choose from. Something about beginning a new year, or maybe just having time over the holidays to sort through my fabric drawers, has prompted me to paint!

Fabric painting isn’t difficult, but does require some practice to achieve the results you want. I strongly suggest you mix the paint and test colours on a sample piece of fabric first as the paint always looks lighter once it is dry.

Once you have your colours mixed, mist your fabric so it is evenly damp, and then paint!
